[194] "Thereupon, venerable sir, the gods of the Tāvatiṃsa became even more pleased, gladdened, filled with rapture (pīti) and joy (somanassa), saying: 'The divine hosts, sirs, wax full; the hosts of the asuras wane!' Then, venerable sir, when the gods of the Tāvatiṃsa had thought over the matter and deliberated upon the matter for the sake of which they were seated and assembled in the Sudhammā Hall, the Four Great Kings were the ones spoken to concerning that matter, and the Four Great Kings were the ones who received the instruction concerning that matter; and they remained standing at their own respective seats without departing.
Those Kings, having been addressed,
having accepted the instruction,
with minds serene and calm,
stood at their own seats."
