[20] Bhikkhus, this is the norm: whereas other women give birth after carrying the infant in the womb for nine or ten months, the mother of the Bodhisatta (bodhisatta) does not give birth thus. The mother of the Bodhisatta gives birth after carrying the Bodhisatta in her womb for exactly ten months. This is the norm here.
