Sakkapañhasutta

Suttapiṭaka · Dīghanikāya · Mahāvagga · Vol. 10 · Section 254

[254] Then it occurred to the Blessed One: "This Sakka has been purified for a long time. Whatever question he asks me, he will ask only what is connected with benefit, not what is unconnected with benefit; and whatever I, being asked, shall answer, that he will understand quickly indeed." Then the Blessed One addressed Sakka, lord of the devas, in verse: "Ask me your question, Vāsava, whatever you wish in your mind; of each and every question I shall make an end for you." End of the first recitation section (bhāṇavāra).
