[4] Bhikkhus, for the Blessed One Vipassī, the Arahant, the Perfectly Enlightened One, the lifespan was eighty thousand years. Bhikkhus, for the Blessed One Sikhī, the Arahant, the Perfectly Enlightened One, the lifespan was seventy thousand years. Bhikkhus, for the Blessed One Vessabhū, the Arahant, the Perfectly Enlightened One, the lifespan was sixty thousand years. Bhikkhus, for the Blessed One Kakusandha, the Arahant, the Perfectly Enlightened One, the lifespan was forty thousand years. Bhikkhus, for the Blessed One Koṇāgamana, the Arahant, the Perfectly Enlightened One, the lifespan was thirty thousand years. Bhikkhus, for the Blessed One Kassapa, the Arahant, the Perfectly Enlightened One, the lifespan was twenty thousand years. Bhikkhus, for me at present the lifespan is short, limited, and fleeting: one who lives long lives a hundred years, or a little more.
