[165] He spoke no divisive speech (vebhūtiya) that breaks the united apart,
that creates disputes which make division grow,
that does what ought not to be done, making quarrels grow,
that engenders schism among those in concord.
He spoke goodly speech that makes freedom from dispute grow,
that engenders reunion among the divided;
he dispelled the quarrels of the people;
possessed of concord, he rejoices and delights together with beings.
In good destinations (sugati) he experiences
the fruit and its result; there he rejoices.
Here his teeth are close-set, without gaps,
forty of them, born in his mouth, well arranged.
If he becomes a khattiya, lord of the earth,
his assembly is one that cannot be divided;
and if he becomes an ascetic, free of dust, stainless,
his assembly follows him, unshaken.
