[239] Four knowledges (ñāṇa):
1. Knowledge of the Dhamma (dhamme ñāṇaṃ) [knowledge of the principle]
2. Knowledge of inference (anvaye ñāṇaṃ) [knowledge by way of induction]
3. Knowledge of delimitation (paricchedañāṇaṃ) [knowledge that defines and delimits]
4. Knowledge of convention (sammatiñāṇaṃ) [knowledge of the conventional]
Another four knowledges:
1. Knowledge of suffering (dukkha)
2. Knowledge of the origin of suffering
3. Knowledge of the cessation of suffering
4. Knowledge of the way of practice leading to the cessation of suffering
