[247] Four arisings of craving (taṇhuppādā): 1. Friends, craving (taṇhā), when it arises in a bhikkhu, arises on account of robes. 2. Friends, craving, when it arises in a bhikkhu, arises on account of almsfood. 3. Friends, craving, when it arises in a bhikkhu, arises on account of lodgings. 4. Friends, craving, when it arises in a bhikkhu, arises on account of ever-superior existence (abhibhavābhava).
