[257] Four things to be realized (sacchikaraṇīyā dhammā): past abodes (pubbenivāsa) are to be realized by mindfulness; the passing away and reappearance of beings is to be realized by the eye; the eight liberations (vimokkha) are to be realized by the body; the destruction of the taints (āsava) is to be realized by wisdom.
