[265] Four acquisitions of individuality (attabhāvapaṭilābha):
There is, friends, an acquisition of individuality in which only one's own volition (attasañcetanā) takes effect, not the volition of others.
There is, friends, an acquisition of individuality in which only the volition of others takes effect, not one's own volition.
There is, friends, an acquisition of individuality in which both one's own volition and the volition of others take effect.
There is, friends, an acquisition of individuality in which neither one's own volition nor the volition of others takes effect.
