[362] Ten qualities of an adept (asekhā dhammā): the right view of an adept, the right intention of an adept, the right speech of an adept, the right action of an adept, the right livelihood of an adept, the right effort of an adept, the right mindfulness of an adept, the right concentration (samādhi) of an adept, the right knowledge (ñāṇa) of an adept, and the right liberation (sammāvimutti) of an adept.
These, friends, are the teachings grouped by ten that have been rightly proclaimed by that Blessed One who knows and sees, the Arahant, the Fully Awakened One. Therein all should recite in concert and not dispute, so that this holy life (brahmacariya) may endure and last long; and that will be for the welfare of the many, for the happiness of the many, out of compassion for the world, for the good, the welfare, and the happiness of gods and humans.
