[418] What five things should be produced? Right concentration (samādhi) accompanied by five knowledges (pañcañāṇiko sammāsamādhi): The knowledge (ñāṇa) arises in oneself: "This concentration is blissful in the present and has bliss as its result in the future." The knowledge arises in oneself: "This concentration is noble, not of the flesh (nirāmisa)." The knowledge arises in oneself: "This concentration is not cultivated by base persons (akāpurisasevito)." The knowledge arises in oneself: "This concentration is peaceful, sublime, gained through tranquilization, attained to unification, and it is not reined in and checked by forceful suppression (na ca sasaṅkhāraṃ niggayha vāritavato)." The knowledge arises in oneself: "Mindful, indeed, I enter upon this concentration, and mindful I emerge from it." These five things should be produced.
