[193] Now on that occasion the Venerable Nāgasamāla was behind the Blessed One, fanning the Blessed One. Then the Venerable Nāgasamāla said this to the Blessed One: "It is wonderful, venerable sir! It is marvelous, venerable sir! Moreover, venerable sir, as I heard this exposition of the Dhamma (dhammapariyāya), my hair stood on end. Venerable sir, what is the name of this exposition of the Dhamma?" The Blessed One said: "Well then, Nāgasamāla, you may remember this exposition of the Dhamma as 'The Hair-Raising Exposition' (Lomahaṃsanapariyāya)."
Thus spoke the Blessed One. Elated, the Venerable Nāgasamāla rejoiced in the Blessed One's words.
The Mahāsīhanāda Sutta, the second, is finished.
