[204] Bhikkhus, whatever ascetics or brahmins do not understand as it really is (yathābhūta), in this way, the gratification of forms as gratification, the danger of forms as danger, and the escape from forms as escape—that they themselves will fully understand forms, or that they will encourage another to practice in such a way that, so practicing, he will fully understand forms: this is impossible. But, bhikkhus, whatever ascetics or brahmins do understand as it really is, in this way, the gratification of forms as gratification, the danger of forms as danger, and the escape from forms as escape—that they themselves will fully understand forms, or that they will encourage another to practice in such a way that, so practicing, he will fully understand forms: this is possible.
