[371] When this was said, the Venerable Sāriputta said to the Venerable Revata: "Friend Revata, the Venerable Ānanda has answered according to his own inspiration (paṭibhāna). Now on that point we ask the Venerable Revata: Delightful, friend Revata, is the Gosiṅga sāla-tree wood; the night is moonlit; the sāla trees are in blossom all over; heavenly scents, one would think, are wafting about. By a bhikkhu of what kind, friend Revata, would the Gosiṅga sāla-tree wood be graced?"
"Here, friend Sāriputta, a bhikkhu delights in seclusion (paṭisallāna), takes delight in seclusion; he is devoted to internal serenity of mind (cetosamatha); he does not neglect meditation (jhāna); he is endowed with insight (vipassanā); he is a cultivator of empty dwellings (suññāgāra). By a bhikkhu of such a kind, friend Sāriputta, would the Gosiṅga sāla-tree wood be graced."
