[104] When the brahmins and householders of Sālā had seated themselves to one side, the Blessed One said this to them: "Householders, is there any teacher who is agreeable to you, in whom you have acquired grounded faith (ākāravatī saddhā)?"
"Venerable sir, there is no teacher agreeable to us in whom we have acquired grounded faith."
"Householders, since you have not found an agreeable teacher, this incontrovertible teaching (apaṇṇaka dhamma) should be undertaken and practiced; for, householders, when the incontrovertible teaching has been undertaken in full, it will be for your welfare and happiness for a long time. And what, householders, is the incontrovertible teaching?"
