[125] Thus have I heard. On one occasion the Blessed One was dwelling at Rājagaha, in the Bamboo Grove (Veḷuvana), the squirrels' feeding ground. Now on that occasion the Venerable Rāhula was dwelling at Ambalaṭṭhikā. Then, in the evening, the Blessed One, having emerged from seclusion, approached Ambalaṭṭhikā, where the Venerable Rāhula was. The Venerable Rāhula saw the Blessed One coming from afar; having seen him, he prepared a seat and set out water for the feet. The Blessed One sat down on the seat prepared and, having sat down, washed his feet. And the Venerable Rāhula, having paid homage to the Blessed One, sat down to one side.
