[135] "Rāhula, whatever form (rūpa) there is that is internal, belonging to oneself, hard, solid, and clung-to — namely: head hairs, body hairs, nails, teeth, skin, flesh, sinews, bones, bone marrow, kidneys, heart, liver, pleura, spleen, lungs, intestines, mesentery, undigested food, feces — or whatever else there is that is internal, belonging to oneself, hard, solid, and clung-to: this, Rāhula, is called the internal earth element (pathavīdhātu). Now whatever internal earth element there is and whatever external earth element there is — that is simply the earth element (dhātu). That should be seen as it really is (yathābhūta) with right wisdom thus: 'This is not mine, this I am not, this is not my self.' Having seen it thus as it really is with right wisdom, one becomes disenchanted with the earth element and detaches the mind (citta) from the earth element."
