[458] "Once upon a time, Ānanda, while the gods of the Tāvatiṃsa were seated and assembled together in the Sudhammā Hall, this discussion arose among them: 'It is a gain, sirs, for the people of Videha; it is well gained, sirs, for the people of Videha, whose King Nimi is a righteous king, a king of Dhamma, a great king established in the Dhamma. He conducts himself righteously among brahmins and householders, among townsfolk and country folk alike; and he observes the Uposatha (uposatha) on the fourteenth, the fifteenth, and the eighth day of the fortnight.'"
