[470] "By this method too, great king, it may be understood that this is mere report (ghosa) in the world: 'Only brahmins are the best class; any other class is inferior … heirs of Brahmā.' What do you think, great king? Suppose there were here a khattiya who kills living beings, takes what is not given, engages in sexual misconduct, speaks falsehood, speaks divisively, speaks harshly, engages in idle chatter, is covetous, has a mind of ill will, and holds wrong view — on the breaking up of the body, after death, would he be reborn in a state of deprivation, a bad destination, the abyss, hell, or not? Or how do you see it in this matter?"
