[548] "It is wonderful, Mallikā, it is marvellous, Mallikā, how far that Blessed One sees, having penetrated, I think, with wisdom! Come, Mallikā, give me water for rinsing."
Then King Pasenadi of Kosala rose from his seat, arranged his upper robe over one shoulder, raised his joined palms in reverence toward where the Blessed One was, and uttered this inspired utterance three times:
"Homage to that Blessed One, the Arahant (arahato), the Perfectly Awakened One (sammāsambuddhassa)!
Homage to that … Perfectly Awakened One!"
