[583] Then King Pasenadi of Kosala said this to the Blessed One: "Venerable sir, we asked the Blessed One about omniscience (sabbaññutā), and the Blessed One answered concerning omniscience; and that pleases us and is acceptable to us, and with that we are satisfied. Venerable sir, we asked the Blessed One about the purification of the four classes (vaṇṇa), and the Blessed One answered concerning the purification of the four classes; and that pleases us and is acceptable to us, and with that we are satisfied. Venerable sir, we asked the Blessed One about the higher gods (adhideva), and the Blessed One answered concerning the higher gods; and that pleases us and is acceptable to us, and with that we are satisfied. Venerable sir, we asked the Blessed One about the higher Brahmā (adhibrahmā), and the Blessed One answered concerning the higher Brahmā; and that pleases us and is acceptable to us, and with that we are satisfied. And whatever we asked the Blessed One,¹ that very thing the Blessed One answered; and that pleases us and is acceptable to us, and with that we are satisfied. Well then, venerable sir, we shall go now; we have many duties, much that must be done."
"Do now, great king, whatever you think it is time for."
Then King Pasenadi of Kosala, having delighted and rejoiced in the Blessed One's words, rose from his seat, paid homage to the Blessed One, circumambulated him keeping his right side toward him, and departed.
The Kaṇṇakatthala Sutta, the tenth, is finished.
