[608] Then it occurred to the Blessed One: "This brahmin Sela sees on me the thirty-two marks of a great man (mahāpurisalakkhaṇa) for the most part, all except two; concerning two marks of a great man he is uncertain, he doubts, he has not made up his mind, he has not gained confidence — concerning the male organ enclosed in a sheath (kosohita vatthaguyha) and the largeness of the tongue (pahūtajivhatā)." Then the Blessed One performed such a feat of psychic power (iddhābhisaṅkhāra) that the brahmin Sela saw the Blessed One's male organ enclosed in a sheath. Then the Blessed One, extending his tongue, touched and stroked back and forth both openings of his ears, touched and stroked back and forth both openings of his nose, and covered the whole circle of his forehead with his tongue.
