Dhanañjānisutta

Suttapiṭaka · Majjhimanikāya · Vol. 13 · Section 672

[672] Thus have I heard. On one occasion the Blessed One was dwelling at Rājagaha, in the Bamboo Grove (Veḷuvana), the squirrels' feeding ground (Kalandakanivāpa). Now on that occasion the venerable Sāriputta was wandering on tour in Dakkhiṇāgiri together with a large Saṅgha of bhikkhus. Then a certain bhikkhu who had completed the rains residence at Rājagaha went to Dakkhiṇāgiri, approached the venerable Sāriputta, and exchanged greetings with him. When the courteous and amiable talk of greeting was concluded, he sat down at one side.
