[332] Furthermore, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu is endowed with faith (saddhā), endowed with virtue (sīla), endowed with learning (suta), endowed with generosity (cāga), and endowed with wisdom (paññā). It occurs to him thus: 'Oh, that by the destruction of the taints (āsava) I might realize for myself with direct knowledge (abhiññā), in this very life, the taintless liberation of mind (cetovimutti) and liberation by wisdom (paññāvimutti), and, having entered upon it, dwell therein!' He, by the destruction of the taints, realizes for himself with direct knowledge, in this very life, the taintless liberation of mind and liberation by wisdom, and, having entered upon it, dwells therein. This bhikkhu, bhikkhus, does not arise anywhere. Thus spoke the Blessed One. Elated, those bhikkhus rejoiced in the Blessed One's utterance. The Saṅkhārūpapatti Sutta, the tenth, is concluded. The Anupada Vagga, the second. ________ Its summary: Anupada, Sodhana, the dhamma of the [good] person (porisadhammo), Sevitabba, the analysis of the many elements (bahudhātuvibhatti), the renown of the Buddhas by name [Isigili], with the Forty [Mahācattārīsaka], Ānāpāna, and Kāyagata, and thereafter Upapatti [rebirth] — when the moon was stainless and pure, full and fully complete in its arising, undertaken … — this excellent second chapter, the Anupada, whose excellent dhamma is resorted to by many people. ________ The Suññata Vagga ____ The Cūḷasuññata Sutta
