[682] "'This person, bhikkhu, has four foundations (adhiṭṭhāna).' So indeed this was said. And in reference to what was this said? There is the foundation of wisdom (paññā), the foundation of truth (sacca), the foundation of relinquishment (cāga), and the foundation of peace (upasama). 'This person, bhikkhu, has four foundations.' When this was said, it was in reference to this that it was said.
