[132] Standing to one side, Kokanadā, Pajjunna's daughter, spoke these verses in the presence of the Blessed One:
"The Fully Awakened One (sambuddha), foremost of beings,
dwelling in the wood at Vesālī —
I, Kokanadā, worship him:
Kokanadā, Pajjunna's daughter, am I.
Formerly it was to me only a thing heard,
that the Dhamma had been awakened to by the One with Vision (cakkhumant);
but now I know it as an eyewitness,
while the Sage (muni), the Fortunate One (sugata), teaches.
Whoever the dull-witted ones may be
who go about reviling the noble Dhamma,
they pass on to the terrible Roruva hell
and experience suffering (dukkha) for a long time.
But those endowed with acceptance and peace
with regard to the noble Dhamma,
having abandoned the human body,
will fill the company of devas."
