Dāmalisutta

[230] Standing to one side, the young deva (devaputta) Dāmali spoke this verse in the presence of the Blessed One: "This is to be done by the brahmin (brāhmaṇa): striving (padhāna) by one who is unwearying; through the complete abandoning of sensual pleasures, he does not on that account yearn for existence."
