[242] Then the Blessed One, with reference to Candimā the young deva (devaputta), addressed Rāhu, lord of the asuras (asurinda), in verse: "To the Tathāgata, the Arahant, Candimā has gone for refuge (saraṇa); Rāhu, release the moon — Buddhas are compassionate toward the world."
