[332] "There is not, great king, for one who is born, anything apart from aging and death (jarāmaraṇa). Even those affluent khattiyas (khattiyamahāsālā), great king — rich, of great wealth, of great possessions, with abundant gold and silver, with abundant treasures and commodities, with abundant wealth and grain — for them too, having been born, there is nothing apart from aging and death. Even those affluent brahmins (brāhmaṇamahāsālā), great king, … affluent householders (gahapatimahāsālā) — rich, of great wealth, of great possessions, with abundant gold and silver, with abundant treasures and commodities, with abundant wealth and grain — for them too, having been born, there is nothing apart from aging and death. Even those bhikkhus, great king, who are arahants, whose taints (āsava) are destroyed, who have lived the holy life, done what had to be done, laid down the burden, reached their own goal, utterly destroyed the fetters (saṃyojana) of existence, and are completely liberated through final knowledge — even for them this body is subject to breaking up, subject to being laid down."
