[340] At Sāvatthī. … Sitting to one side, King Pasenadi of Kosala said this to the Blessed One: "Here, venerable sir, while I was alone in seclusion, this reflection arose in my mind: 'Few are those beings in the world who, having obtained ever more lavish riches, do not become intoxicated, do not grow negligent, do not fall into greed (gedha) for sensual pleasures, and do not transgress against beings. Far more numerous, indeed, are those beings in the world who, having obtained ever more lavish riches, become intoxicated and grow negligent, fall into greed for sensual pleasures, and transgress against beings.'"
