Dutiyaāyusutta

[443] On one occasion the Blessed One was dwelling at Rājagaha… There the Blessed One said this: "Bhikkhus, this life span of human beings is short; one must go on to the life to come (samparāya). One should do what is wholesome (kusala); one should live the holy life (brahmacariya). For one who is born there is no avoiding death. One who lives long, bhikkhus, lives a hundred years or a little more."
