[45] Then, when the night was far advanced, a certain deity (devatā) of surpassing beauty, illuminating the entire Tapoda hot springs, approached the Venerable Samiddhi; having approached, she stood in the air and addressed the Venerable Samiddhi in verse:
"Not having eaten, you seek alms, bhikkhu;
having eaten, surely, you do not seek alms.
Having eaten, bhikkhu, seek alms —
let not the time pass you by."
