[466] Then the Blessed One, having understood, "This is Māra the Evil One (pāpimant)," addressed Māra the Evil One in verse: "Forms (rūpa), sounds, odors, tastes, tangibles (phassā), and dhammas — the whole of them: this is the terrible bait of the world (lokāmisa); herein the world lies infatuated. But having transcended this, the mindful (sato) disciple of the Buddha, having passed beyond Māra's domain (māradheyya), shines just like the sun." Then Māra … disappeared right there.
