Devahitasutta

[683] The brahmin Devahita saw the Venerable Upavāṇa standing silently to one side. Having seen the Venerable Upavāṇa, he addressed him in verse: "Silent you stand, good sir — shaven-headed, wrapped in the outer robe (saṅghāṭi). Desiring what, seeking what — what, indeed, have you come to beg for?"
