[696] Then the Blessed One, having known with his own mind the reflection in the mind of the brahmin Mānatthaddha, addressed the brahmin Mānatthaddha in verse: "Conceit (māna) is not good, brahmin, for one who has a purpose here, brahmin; the purpose for which you have come — that alone you should foster."
