[803] [The Blessed One:]
"First there is the coagulum (kalala);
from the coagulum there comes to be the swelling (abbuda);
from the swelling the lump of flesh (pesi) is born;
from the lump of flesh the solid mass (ghana) is produced;
from the solid mass the limbs (pasākhā) are born,
and the head-hairs, the body-hairs, and the nails as well.
And whatever food, drink, and nourishment
his mother consumes—
by that he maintains himself there,
the person within his mother's womb."
