[806] [The Blessed One:] "For whatever reason it may be, Sakka, that association (saṁvāsa) with others comes about, it does not befit a person of wisdom to be moved in mind with sympathy on that account. If with a mind clear and confident one instructs another, one is not fettered by that — by what is sympathy (anukampā) and tender care (anuddayā)." The Sūciloma Sutta, the Third.
