[809] "Lust (rāga) and hatred — from what do they have their source (nidāna)? Discontent (arati), delight (rati), and terror (lomahaṃsa) — from what are they born? Having arisen from what do the thoughts (vitakka) of the mind toss [it] about, as boys toss up a crow?"
