[887] Setting at Sāvatthī. "Bhikkhus, once in the past, when Sakka, lord of the devas, had gone into solitude and was in retreat, this reflection arose in his mind: 'Even one who might be my enemy — him too I should not betray.' "Then, bhikkhus, Vepacitti, lord of the asuras, having known with his own mind the reflection in the mind of Sakka, lord of the devas, approached Sakka, lord of the devas."
