Accentisutta

[9] Standing to one side, that deity (devatā) spoke this verse in the presence of the Blessed One: "Times pass by, the nights hurry on; The stages of life (vayoguṇā) successively abandon us. Seeing this peril in death (maraṇa), One should do deeds of merit (puññāni) that bring happiness."
