[90] Then another deity (devatā) spoke these verses in the presence of the Blessed One: "Those giving what is hard to give, doing the deed that is hard to do — the bad do not emulate them; the Dhamma of the good is hard to follow. [Apparatus in source: 1. Yu: tadevadādato. 2. Sī, Ma, Yu: panthānaṃva. 3. Sī: samappitāti.] Therefore for the good and for the bad the destination on departing hence differs: the bad go to hell (niraya); the good are bound for heaven (sagga)." Then another deity said this to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, whose [words] were well spoken?"
