[930] [Sakka replied:]
"Those whom the brahmins possessed of the triple knowledge (tevijjā) revere,
and all the khattiyas upon the earth,
and the Four Great Kings,
and the glorious Thirty (tidasā) —
those accomplished in virtue, their minds long composed,
rightly gone forth, with the holy life (brahmacariya) as their final goal —
these I too venerate.
And those householders who are makers of merit,
the virtuous lay followers (upāsakā)
who righteously support their wives —
to them, Mātali, I pay homage."
