[117] "Bhikkhu, that element of dhamma (dhammadhātu) has been well penetrated by Sāriputta; and because that element of dhamma has been so well penetrated, if I were to question Sāriputta about this matter for a whole day¹ in ever different terms and in ever different ways, for a whole day Sāriputta would answer me about this matter in ever different terms and in ever different ways. If I were to question Sāriputta about this matter for a whole night in ever different terms and in ever different ways, for a whole night too Sāriputta would answer me about this matter … If I were to question Sāriputta about this matter for a day and a night … for a day and a night too Sāriputta would answer me about this matter … If I were to question Sāriputta about this matter for two days and nights … for two days and nights too Sāriputta would answer me about this matter … If I were to question Sāriputta about this matter for three days and nights … for three days and nights too Sāriputta would answer me about this matter … If I were to question Sāriputta about this matter for four days and nights … for four days and nights too Sāriputta would answer me about this matter … If I were to question Sāriputta about this matter for five days and nights … for five days and nights too Sāriputta would answer me about this matter … If I were to question Sāriputta about this matter for six days and nights … for six days and nights too Sāriputta would answer me about this matter … If I were to question Sāriputta about this matter for seven days and nights in ever different terms and in ever different ways, for seven days and nights too Sāriputta would answer me about this matter in ever different terms and in ever different ways."
