[155] "When, householder, these five fearful animosities have been stilled for the noble disciple (ariyasāvaka), and he is possessed of these four factors of stream-entry (sotāpattiyaṅga), and this noble method (ñāya) has been well seen and well penetrated by him with wisdom, then, if he wishes, he may declare of himself by himself: 'Finished for me is hell, finished the animal womb, finished the realm of ghosts, finished the plane of misery, the bad destination, the lower world. I am a stream-enterer (sotāpanna), no longer subject to downfall, fixed in destiny, with awakening (sambodhi) as my final goal.'"
