Susimasutta

Suttapiṭaka · Saṁyuttanikāya · Nidānavaggasaṁyutta · Vol. 16 · Section 302

[302] "Here now, Susima, there is this answer and there is the non-attainment of these dhammas. How, then, Susima, does this stand?" Then the venerable Susima, prostrating himself with his head at the feet of the Blessed One, said this to the Blessed One: "A transgression overcame me, venerable sir — so foolish, so confused, so unskilful was I — in that I went forth as a thief of the Dhamma (dhammatthenaka) in this Dhamma and Discipline so well proclaimed. Venerable sir, may the Blessed One accept my transgression as a transgression, for the sake of restraint in the future."
