[327] Dwelling at Sāvatthī … There the Blessed One … "Bhikkhus, suppose a man were to place seven pebbles the size of mustard seeds beside the Himavant, king of mountains. What do you think, bhikkhus: which is greater — the seven mustard-seed-sized pebbles that were placed there, or the Himavant, king of mountains?"
"Venerable sir, it is the Himavant, king of mountains, that is greater. The seven mustard-seed-sized pebbles that were placed there are trifling; compared with the Himavant, king of mountains, the seven mustard-seed-sized pebbles that were placed there do not amount to a hundredth part, nor to a thousandth part, nor to a hundred-thousandth part."
