[550] Whom, bhikkhus, should the thunderbolt (asanivicakka) strike? Let gain, honour, and fame (lābhasakkārasiloka) overtake a trainee (sekha) who has not yet attained his mind's ideal. "Thunderbolt," bhikkhus: this is a designation for gain, honour, and fame. So dire, bhikkhus, are gain, honour, and fame … Thus indeed, bhikkhus, should you train yourselves. The Sixth.
