[137] "Bhikkhus, even those of Ukkalā, Vassa and Bhañña — proponents of non-causality (ahetukavāda), proponents of non-doing (akiriyavāda), proponents of nihilism (natthikavāda) — even they did not consider that these three pathways of language (niruttipatha), pathways of designation (adhivacanapatha), and pathways of description (paññattipatha) should be criticized or repudiated. For what reason? From fear of blame, attack, and censure."
