[230] When this was said, the elder bhikkhus said this to the Venerable Khemaka: "We did not ask the Venerable Khemaka wishing to trouble him; rather, the Venerable Khemaka is capable of explaining, teaching, declaring, establishing, disclosing, analyzing, and elucidating the teaching of that Blessed One in detail — inasmuch as the teaching of that Blessed One has been explained, taught, declared, established, disclosed, analyzed, and elucidated in detail by the Venerable Khemaka."
This is what the Venerable Khemaka said. Gladdened, the elder bhikkhus delighted in the Venerable Khemaka's statement. And while this exposition was being spoken, the minds (citta) of as many as sixty elder bhikkhus were liberated from the taints (āsava) through non-clinging — and the mind of the Venerable Khemaka as well.
