[24] Thus indeed, householder, as to what was said by the Blessed One in the Question of Māgaṇḍiya in the Aṭṭhakavagga: "Having abandoned home, wandering without abode, the sage (muni) forms no intimacies in the village; empty of sensual pleasures, not placing anything before him, he would not engage in contentious talk with people" — it is in this way, householder, that the meaning of this, spoken in brief by the Blessed One, should be seen in detail.
